Direction and Key Strategies
The beneficiaries selected for 2007 were:
• Childhood Cancer Support Inc based in Brisbane and providing
support and
accommodation services for Queensland children with cancer and their
families
• The Cancer Biology Laboratory at the Peter MacCallum Cancer
Institute in
Melbourne which is totally reliant on raising funds to continue
groundbreaking
genetic research that has the potential to lead to more effectively
targeted
treatments for breast cancer
The avenue to raise funds has been identified as the organisation of
the premier
social event in Toowoomba for 2007 –
a Masked Ball to be held on 21
July 2007.
The target profit for the event was $100 000.
The profit was distributed totally and equally to the two
organisations.
All labour involved in organising the event is donated by the
members of The Circle.
